Mclean, VA— The Copper Development Association, Inc. (CDA) has chosen Adam Kotrba to lead its Flat Products Council. In this role he will be responsible for identifying and influencing market trends and growth opportunities for member companies and the copper industry within end uses such as data centers, electric vehicles, architectural applications, green buildings, antimicrobial copper, and more.
Kotrba brings nearly 30 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, and management to CDA. He holds over 20 patents, has authored over 50 technical papers, and is involved in the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), as well as Manufacturers of Emissions Controls Association (MECA), where he served on the board of directors and as vice president. Additionally, he sits on the Board of External Advisors for Michigan State University, Mechanical Engineering Department.
“Adam has a proven track record of transforming ideas to advance a business’ mission and enhance stakeholder value,” said Andrew G. Kireta, Jr., president of CDA. “This, combined with his ability to establish pathways for growth across new markets, makes him an ideal fit for the position.
Kotrba holds a Master of Business Administration in Project Management and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia. He joined CDA as a director of the Flat Products program as of March 14.
